The staff hopes that the pictures show the real life and spirit of W. H. S. 2 WILLIAM F. Lo CURTO October 23, 1942 May 22, 1960 FRANK DANIEL RYMON July 7, 1942 May 22, 1960 We, the Class of 1960, dedicate this edition of the Cache to the memory of William F. Lo Curto and Frank Daniel Rymon. These boys were vital leaders, both in the school and in the community. They were courteous, honest, and loyal. Above all, both had a sense of humor, which was reflected in everything they did. Both boys were very active in music. They were members of the high school chorus and of the “Quadrants.” Bill Lo Curto was president of the Band and a member of the All-State Chorus. Danny Rymon was treasurer of the Senior Class, a member of Student Council, the class Executive Committee, and the Key Club. We Seniors remember all of these things. We have a deep sense of loss, but despite our sorrow we treasure countless happy memories. Bill and Danny will not graduate with us, but we want their parents and friends to know that we share the sentiment of the poet Shelley who wrote: “Music, when soft voices die, Vibrates in the memory. 3 DAVID ARMBRECHT “Dave” General Washington A Penny for his thoughts . . . BELET Principal Principals Message Your vocation makes the most perceptible background of your life. If the choice of it has sprung, as it ought to spring, intuitively and almost unconsciously out of the slowly developed disposition and capacities of your nature, it then enfolds itself warmly about all you think and do. Every most broadly human act— the way you walk, the way you serve your family and society, the way you reason about abstract truth—has in it the marks and tokens of the chosen occupation of your life. Thereby, all gather consistency and are saved from being scattered fragments. Your life must not drift, but move from recognized purpose to assured result, carrying each drop onward in its current. Many responsibilities must be accomplished before the wondrous widening and deepening of life can be attained. Behind the present opens eternity, behind the thing to do opens the thing to be, behind selfishness opens sacrifice, behind duty opens love, behind every bondage and limitation opens glorious liberty. So must you give of yourself and life will become complete for you. Success and happiness are delayed rewards of great toiling. Always maintain optimum faith in yourself, your endeavors, and others. Keep striving toward purposeful goals within your place in the world that now awaits you. Best wishesl 92 RUTH I. WELLER Vice-Principal 93 Secretary DOROTHY ROST Secretary BETTE J.
