Crowded condilions required addilional facililies 'ro provide for The influx of sfudenls. In I952. affer 'Ihe firsl' addilion had been built 'rhe high school enrollrnenl was 42I. As of May I. I957. Ihe acI'ive high school enrollmenl' was 5l7, wilh a confinuing forecasl of annual increase. Before 'rhe new wing could become a realily, much preparafion was neces- sary. The building slarled as an idea. Plans had Io be discussed. drawn, and presenled lo Ihe public for approval. A consfruclion company had fo be chosen, workmen hired. and counlless olher imporfanl delails worked ouI'. All 'rhis aclivily, however, merely provides a place for educalion. ,The mosl' imporlanl' consideralion in any educalional program is 'the sfudenf. His alfilude foward school influences and rellecfs, in many ways, The life wilhin Ihe building.
