Miss Julia S. Meaker discusses D. C. details with class presi- Miss Dorothy G. Mulkey hard at work on dent, Carl Brenner. Cache subscriptions. Dedication As a token of our appreciation, the Class of 1948 dedicates this edition of the Cache to Miss Julia S. Meaker and Miss Dorothy G. Mulkey, senior advisers, who for many years have worked faithfully in guiding classes through the activities of the last year in high school. This year both Miss Meaker and Miss Mulkey have worked tirelessly to make all necessary arrangements for the April excursion to Washington, D. C., a project made more dear to each senior’s heart because it was abandoned during the war years. Our record of memories is made richer and sweeter because of what our advisers have made possible. Assistant Robert Adler and Editor Kenneth Neidig consider a Cache problem. Cache Pictures, engravings, copy, and deadlines—these things haunt the Cache Staff, whose objective is to produce a book to be treasured by all W. H. S. pupils. Composed of seniors and juniors, the latter obtaining practical experience for their book the following year, the staff labors long after school, arguing, drawing the dummy, cropping pictures, pasting, writing, typing, proofing and proofing again. This is the finished product. We hope you have as much pleasure in owning the book as we did in creating it. THE STAFF EDITORIAL COMMITTEE Left to Right: Seated—R. Adler, B. Alpaugh, S. Has-semer, J.
