A committee from the Middle Atlantic Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges visited this school October 28 and 29. This evaluation committee examined all phases of the school program and inspected the entire physical plant. The visit was necessary in order that this high school continue to be certified as an approved four year high school. The school has received tentative approval of its progress and facilities pending a meeting of the certification committee of the association in, the summer of 1948. There is no reason to doubt the continuation of VV. H. S. on the list of accredited four year high schools. The visiting committee expressed keen interest in and admiration of those phases of the school in which the students took an active part such as the student council, hall sentinels, traffic squad, and fire squad. They complimented the entire student body on its enthusiasm and wholesome attitude toward the school and its activities. The senior class should be proud of the part it played as leaders of the student body. EUGENE J. BRADFORD Evaluation Committee Left to Riylit: Eugene J. Bradford, Washington principal; Ernest L. A high order of world citizenship must be developed, along with greater competence in solving domestic problems. Educational opportunities must be extended to far more people than have had them heretofore. The Washington Borough schools are making an honest effort to do just this. Your four years of high school have been most fortunate years for you. You have shared with others your separate personalities, your hopes, your aspirations, and your thoughts of a better world in which we might live. You have helped us further the opportunities for a better Washington and in so doing have added greatly to our school. Permit me to congratulate you on this your graduation from high school. May you extend your educational opportunities to our community for years to come. Sincerely, E. L. GILLILAND Board of Education First Row: Seated left to right—Laurance Stopp, Elmer R.
