The purpose of the V-Club is for the furtherance of athletics in the Vinton School. To make it more of an honor to wear the V awarded for the participation in athletics is a further purpose of this organization. The V-Club is responsible, itself, for the printing and distribution of the pocket-size schedules which are presented to the public each year, free of cost. The Student Council members plan many social events during the school year which include the Homecoming dance fwith the football squad or advisorsl, the Christmas dance, and W. P. A. Week iWomen Pay Alll. The selection of the council is made by a direct vote of the student body with the president of each class automatically becoming a member. The council has twelve members, each of whom serves for one year. Student Council President, Keith Winsorg was elected by the student body at large. Future Homemakers of America is an organization which provides opportunities for girls to grow in their knowledge and appreciation of the many areas of Homemaking. It encourages creative leadership through its various activities. Members work as individuals and as a group for a wholesome home and family life for all. The F.H.A. program for this year is based mainly on understanding what homernaking can contribute to the girls' future lives at home or in business.
