,,,. 'Emi if mi l gr,-M,,. 5 Class KEITH RICHARD CHARLES Officers Class History lt has been a tough and rugged struggle, but we now have the privilege of saying, We're Seniors! We now are the ones whom the green frosh look up to and try to imitate. Aside from the hours of study and work, there are many memories of the fun and good times which we Seniors have enjoyed in our four year stay in high school. Starry eyed and blushing as green frosh, we meekly elected our class officers. .Tack Phelps as President, Pat Kelly as Vice-President and Janet Freeman as Secretary-Treasurer led us through our first year. Of course, before the year was over, several of the girls were no longer shy and bashful, for they were keeping steady company with Senior boys. Then we were Sophomores and Marge Rippel took over duties as class President, with Marilyn Wallace assisting as Vice-President and Bonnie Hurst as Secretary-Treasurer, taking care of our paper work. Gaining self-confidence, we now roamed about Lincoln High with assurance. By this time we felt that we were quite grown up and wise to almost all of the teachers' tricks. As the year rolled by, we began to look forward to the fun and responsibilities of the coming year. There was an extra amount of excitement this year because as Juniors, we entered the new Washing- ton building. We began immediately to start work and raise lots of money for the banquet. It was hard work, but I'm sure all of us will never forget all the fun we had selling. Our efforts were well worth it because our banquet was a great success. The nights we spent decorating with our Paris theme were unforgetable, especially those wobbly ladders. Our officers were Swede Cantonwine, Presidentg Eddie Whitehead, Vice- President and Joe Woodford, Secretary-Treasurer. Our last year was a conclusion to four years of much work and fun. We went to everything possible because we realized that it was our last chance. The fellows were a bit sad after playing their last ball games and the gals felt the same after attending the last games. We realized as the year went by that we were either to choose our work for the future or pick the college of our choice. Our officers were Keith Winsor, Presiding: Charles Spicher, Vice-President and Richard Williams, Secretary-Treasurer. We will always carry with us the memory of happy times when we were students of Washington High.
