,, I jg, ,nn Zin jllilemuriam Gllarenne QE. jfauher Bom 1893 Died 1949 Mr. Fauber, born in Tazewell County, Illinois, graduated from Monticello High School in 1911 and began teaching that same year. In 1924, after thirteen years of teaching experience, he came to East Chicago. In 1936, Purdue Uni- versity granted him a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Education and awarded him the Master of Science Degree in Education in 1948. For twenty-five years, Mr. Fauber was instructor of Woodworking and cabinet making in Washington High School and the unofficial counselor of many youth. In 1946, he became counselor for the freshmen. By 1948, he was recognized as chairman of the Industrial Education Department and hi f ll teachers honored him by ele t' , s e ow c ing him for two years as president of the East Chicago Teachers Association. lust th is fall Mr. Fauber became assistant principal in charge of Wash- ington Elementary. ln this position, he again demonstrated his abilit t ' his all in every assignment he d y o give un ertook. In the few months that he was in the elementary school, he was loved and respected by both the students and teachers. Mr. Fauber will always be re membered by everyone as a kind and en- thusiastic teacher, and also as a good friend.
