.aww Courtesy Scholastic Editor 0 IN HIGH SCHOOL, as in college, there is offered to students a wide variety of curricular activities in different preparatory courses. The present day high school is not in accord with modern trends if it does not offer different types of courses to accommodate the possibilities and limitations of its student body. In Washington High School there are four materially different courses: college, commercial, general, and vocational. In the college preparatory course, a student is fitted primarily for college, the commercial course develops one for business, and the general and the vocational train the student for the industrial world. Each course performs its individual task in broadening the mental and physical scope of the student who must eventually make use of it in a practical way. All these help to impart a sense of idealism with the sense of realism, thus giving the pupil an under- standing of the life which he will face eventually in the world, 20 GREAT FALLS YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

O COMPLETING four years of high school educa- tion with an enviable showing for past attainments, it is with a sense of new hope and vision that we set forth into the changing world. Some of us will go to institutions of higher learning and others will start immediately at their chosen occupations. Whatever our choice, our goal is satisfactory ad- justment, a clear perspective as to advancement, and lasting achievement.
