Under his direc- lion such celebraled hils as The Mikado, Good News, Plain and Fancy. and Carousel, were produced. Abolishing lhe Girls' Glee Club and forming Three separale choirs has been anolher maior change insliluled by him. Sleen, in his shorl career al Albion, also inilialed a Boys' Glee Club and direcled 'rhe Ensemble. Born in Lalayerle, lndiana, lvlr. Sleen allendecl grade school and high school on The campus of Weslern Michigan Universily, where his lalher is a professor. l-le earned his Bachelors and lvlaslers degree ar Weslern. An avid sporls fan, lvlr. Sleen also lalces inleresl in lhearer arls, all forms ol music, and people in general.
