The Boys Glee Club The Boys, Glee Club was organized this year under the voluntary leader- ship of Miss Electa Ziegler, with an enrollment of thirty-five voices. There seems to be prevailing throughout the club this year an unusual amount of pep and enthusiasm. In previous years of the club's career, a year book picture was unnecessary, but this year due to public sentiment of the club, a picture was taken to bc published in the next issue of year book. Among the members two quartets have been started. One, called The Spontaneous Quartet composed of Seniors appeared on several occasions in public, The other is composed of three Seniors and one Junior and is on thc road to success, It has been said by vocal critics that the club has excellent quality and should be able to accomplish many things in the future. The Girls' Glee Club For many years W. C. H. S. has had a very valuable asset, its Glee Club. This musical club consists ot' sixty-one members, including the violinist and accompanist. The membership is apportioned according to the best voices in the different classes There are thirty-one Seniors. twenty juniors and ten Suphomores. The Glee Club does not contine itself entirely to school work, for it is call- ed on often to do work in churches, and elsewhere. This year. the club won tirst prize in the annual Mummers' parade. Their costumes were quite original, being Tommy Tip Toes. Also. it quite distin- guished itself by having a number of its members in the Alsatia Minstrel Show. Living up to its aim of always presenting a yearly operetta, this year, they presented a play, called. The japanese Girl. This pageant was picturesque, having a very elaborate setting. In May, the Glee Club was a participant in Music Week Program. As a last finishing touch, with the Boys' Glee Club, sang at the Commencement Week exercises. Not enough credit can be given to Miss Electa Ziegler, for her interest and creditable leadership of the Club. She has led it to success in all of its undertakings, and most of all, it is through her efforts that the Glee Club has become a recognized organization, thereby making W. C. H. S. stand out prominently in music circles. Seventy-nine
