Mr. Stagen is not only the WACOHI advisor, but he is also one of Washington's counselors. Always willing to advise and help students with their problems, Mr. Stagen becomes involved with each student. Mr. Stagen's dedication to his work and untiring efforts are rewarded with each problem solved and with each con- tented student. ' i ' y L4 ., l 1968- Wczcohz' WaCoHi Students witnessed Great Events in His- tory on October 17, 18, and 19. The big cele- bration began Thursday night with the Stunt Show . Kathy Trovillion was announced as Queen and she presented a rose from her bouquet to King Ron Meischner. Later, a bonfire blazed in the park- ing lot, and the Cheerleaders led a pep rally. Washington Students Were filled with the Horne- corning Spirit, and the halls were filled with ex- cited voices on Friday. Although We lost, the Panthers put up a spirited fight that night at Bab- cook Field. The half time show featuring the Band, Pantherettes, and Court Royalty was a high- light of the evening. However, she found out that life in a big city sure is different. Sally Winters, played by Pat Meagher, learned the Ways of big city and aided in the match- making of several of her friends--only to find out that LOVE IS CONTAGIOUS. i On opening night the many hours of practice paid off. 's Kris Chapin worked hard behind the scenes. '2 ALL BECAUSE OF AGATHA, was a highly imaginative comedy filled with bright, funny dialogue and a cast of thoroughly delightful characters. The play dealt with the hilarious plight of a young couple who moved into a centuries old house in Salem, Massachusetts only to find that it was haunted by a distres- singly capricious, maddenly, tenacious, yet undeniably appealing witch, which was played by Toni Ehrich. Congradulations are in order for Mr . Thomas, director, and the cast and crew members for their fine production. Cornbell Conference Champs Cross-country is a grueling race of ap- proximately two miles . Although it is one of the least publicized sports at WaCoHi, it has had an exceptional team for the second year in a row. Our team, under the capable leadership of Coach Melvin Roustio, came in fifth in the District Meet, with the assistance of our top runners, john Armstrong, Denny Springhart, Ken Salemi, Don Guimond, Alan Wilkerson, and Dennis Guimond. The spirit of the cheerleaders helped the fans show good sportsman- ship, Win or lose . The Varsity cheerleaders attended summer cheerleader camp at l.S .U. during the sum- mer, and brought back new ideas for cheers and pep rallies . The spirit of our cheerleaders helped every- one want to get up and cheer for our Panthers .
