e signage www DEDI CA TIO We, the Seniors of 1954, are dedicating our yearbook to Mr. Romani as a token of gratitude for the able way he has assisted our class on the road to success Mr. Romani was not only a capable teacher, but he has served as our class adviser for the past four years. Many times we have become discouraged and ready to quit, but he has always been ready and eager to help us. We know that our Prom would not have been the huge success it was if it had not been for his expert guidance. Despite his many outside activities, Mr. Romani has always found time to lend a helping hand. His willingness to help has been an asset to our class, and we are taking this opportunity to say 'Thank you.'

BOARD OF EDUCATION The 1953-54 Board of Education carried on their monthly meetings and activities under the direction of President, Dr. Wayne Kinsinger. Mr. Al Brunnenmeyer, non-member, served as secretary. A Friena' and A Guzkle MR. W. R. ABERNATHY 'I One person I cannot fail to include in these pages is Mr. W. R. Abernathy, our principal at WCHS. In the short time he has been here, Mr. Abernathy has commanded the respect and loyalty of all students. He is a staunch supporter of all organizations of the student body. Besides tending to his administrative duties, Mr. Abernathy is a friend to those students who seek his help. He holds a B. Ed. degree from Eastern Illinois State College and M. A. degree from the Uni- versity of Illinois.
