The sophomore class of '51 started the year by electing their officers During this election, a small group of stu dents felt the welght of the comlng school year settling on their shoulders The president, Don Blair, started at once to assume respons1h1l1ty with the ald of the vice president, Dale Summer, the secretary, Marllyn Kopp, and the treasurer, Barbwra Geason First on the list of activitles was a class party in the form of a wemner roast at Lake Eureka There was plenty of food for all and when ev ryone had his flll, all plled lnto the buses and went to the gymnaslum for group games and danclng Next came homecommng w1th all the trlmminps A float committee was chosen whlch burned mldnlght oil to get our float done only to discover that the freshmen had the same idea The sophomore candidate for queen was Joanne Fox Realiztng they had only one year to get enough money for the prom they were to put on when they were Juniors, they plunged into the sale of magazlnes DlVldlDg into two teams they conducted lt 1U contest form Many sophomore boys played on the Freshmen Sophomore team that won the llllo Conference Tournament this year mm O13 Jo.
