E At last we re upperclassmen and qu1te proud of that 49 on our school sweaters The forty n1ners are S1XtV two strong 1n the1r th1rd year at WCIS w1th th1rty S1X Q1FlS and twenty s1x boys Headed by Loyd Wenger and h1s ass1stant, Ferne Imhoff the class elected Leona Ke1l to the DOSICIOH of Secretary and put Alan Keck 1n charge of f1nances R1chard Atterberry, Alma Esders, and Don Ward are our student counc1l representat1ves In order to ra1se money for the 1UH1OT sen1or banquet and prom 1n the SDFIHQ, we worked hard selllng the usual varlety of food at foot ball and basketball games Due to the co operatlon of class members we have always fared well 1U W1HH1Hg our share of contests Thls year was no exceptlon w1th the 1UH1OFS WIHHIHQ the magazlne selllng contest from the sophomores Not only d1d we add over a hundred dollars to Mr Keck s fund, but the sophs treated us to a partv Many IUHIOFS have membershlp 1n clubs and are represented on the CXCCUCIVC boards of GAA TIA and the W Club JHHIOF men put thelr appearance on the gr1d1ron, basketball floor, and track, cheered You ll always flnd a goodly number of 1UH1Or names on the honor roll Thlrteen JUHIOTS are 1n band twenty four 1n chorus Several of our 1OUFH8l1StS have earned DOS1t1OUS on the Panther staff wh1le others have d1SC1HQU1Sh6d themselves 1n the f1eld of dramatlcs 1D the produc CIOH of Almost Elghteen Our Stagecoach, w1th 1ts p1cturesque ladles and sedate gentlemen, won th1rd place 1n the lOmCCOm1HH parade Our attract1ve blonde cand1 date for Womeconlne Cheen Corky Kamp was escorted by a promlnent football man none other than doe Esslg Everyone 1S maklng the most of h1s IUHIOY year and has been qu1te act1ve 1n scnool affalrs The ach1evement of thls class have been car r1ed out under the capable d1rectorsh1p of Wrs Irma Andrews,our sponsor Seated Ferne Imho Vrce Pres Alan Keck, Treasurer Leona Ketl Secretary Standzng Mrs Andrews Advisor, Loyd Wenger, Preszdent T H J Il N I KJ R C Is A S S ' r, 4 .
