He was a fine man who dedicated his life to Washington College. He shall be sorely missed. WASHINGTON COLLEGE James E. Rather, this PEGASUS is a collection of images, to evoke memories, without words to tell you what to remember. As the reader or viewer it is your responsibility to add, to the photo- graphic images, your own captions. We feel that this will enhance the role of the reader. It is our hope that the PEGASUS will serve to satisfy those distant, nostalgic moments in representing a more vivid and realistic re- memberance of the past year. We feel this statement made by Dr. Charles Merdinger is befitting as Washington College approaches its bicen- tennial and we, the 199th class embarks into the real world- So, we have this very fine college now, the product of the dreams and accomplishments of countless men and women over a period of nearly two hundred years.
