(2£a 6 ea m . . . Dr. Charles B. Clark finished his career at Washington College last spring. And thus, as Dr. Clark left, so did many treasured memories of his immortal coaching ability of the W. C. lacrosse teams of the past. The two pictures on this page represent the two never-to-be-forgotten poses of Dr. Clark on the Lacrosse Field. In 1954 his team won the Laurie Cox Divisional Championship, placing sixth in the nation. From under his mentorship came many AU-Americans such as Billy Russell, Dick Weller, Bob Lipsitz, Joe Seivold and Hesse Howard. $ Dr. Charles B. Clark Dr. Clark ' s successor is Don Kelly, of Chester- town, a famous Olympic lacrosse player in his day, and an outstanding letterman in high school and college. As Dr. Clark has gone from the ranks of the teaching and coaching profession to work for the Atomic Energy Commission, his thoughts in the Spring will undoubtedly turn to his second love, Lacrosse. He has established the lacrosse spirit and tradition at Washington College; he has up- held the fair play and sportsmanship of W. C. athletic teams. The students of W. C, especially Lacrosse players will always think of him as Mr. Lacrosse, and a man of outstanding leader- ship in the college teaching ranks. Dr. Charles B. Clark
