They were: Lila Heine, typing, Clara Ellen Hawn, typing and shorthand: Hazel Goodrich, typing: Lloyd Ness, typing, Helen Hinen, typing and shorthand, Donna Hatfield, typing and shorthand. ' Lila Heine won first in the District and fifth in the State. A swim ing party at the Long Lake resort was held August 4. In the last year of our climb there were 16 members: Phil Alexander, Mary Anderson, Carolyn Bonebrake, Patricia Edwards, Hazel Goodrich, Jack Gothard, , A 'Donna Hatfield, Clara Ellen Hawn, Lila Heine, Helen Hinen, Galen Johnson, Edgar if Kuckuck, Donald Michel, Lloyd Ness, Jane Snyder, Dick Wolf. Pat slipped as we 53 passed the Portland trail but she was recovered and continued the climb with 5?' us. E5 Subjects taken were: General Office Practice, United States History, if Economics, Bookkeeping, Sociology, Agirculture, Physics, Typing, Geometry and 55 Latin. 55 The officers this year were: President, Lloyd Ness: Vice President, Edgar 55 Kuckuck, Secretary, Helen Hineng Treasurer, Galen Johnson: Reporter, Donna gg Hatfield. Our sponsor was Miss Staples. Ei The guides for the last year of the climb were: Mr. Snoke, Mr. Borden, gi Mr. Scholl, Miss Staples, Mrs. Kent, and Mrs. Wiedenhoeft. gg Jane Snyder and Lila Heine were our representatives in yell leading. 55 Our ball players were: Lloyd Ness, Galen Johnson, Don Michel, Jack 5? This year to write a class prophecy as we are attempting a differ- ljifg ent form of prophecy, known as, nPredict1ons of Things to Come' Carolyn Bonebrake was always skipping school to visit in Huntington, -' therefore, we predict, Miss Bonebrake will soon be siding at 1548 North Jefferson Street, Huntington, move to Florida due to uncontrollable in-laws. Edgar Kuckuck, the quiet, slow-moving chap of Indiana. She will later M' the Senior Class, never seems to get his girls in on time. Prediction number two. He will become a lf ', P. A. worker during the better years of his life. The W. P. A. will soon go Q bankrupt buying shovel handles, that Mr. Kuckuck has broken, due to excess .n weight in the wrong place. Jane Snyder is the girl who plans ahead, when Prediction number three. She will soon be married operated by Massey Harris Equipment. Her portion kids every year. These kids are the offsprings of she has time. Therefore ' g, and settle down on a farm f I of the work is raising five ' ten fine goats. t Stern Dick Wolf does all the studying of the Senior Class, therefore, Pre- f. J diction number four. Mr. Wolf will be sole owner of the Laud Library. He will ' not only be sole owner but sole user of his fine collection of comic books ' Hazel Goodrich is the girl with the hustle and the possessor of the sil liest giggle in the entire class. Prediction number five. She will someday use her giggle to good advantage doing commercials the hustle, she uses it to get to work on time as she never gets home to get a few hours sleep. Galen Johnson is the boy with a million girls. Prediction number six. He will add a life-like photo of Lena the Hyena to his priceless collection. As for the million girls, he has dropped 999,999. He married the other one. Pat Edwards is the extremest of the class. Prediction number seven. Pat will become interested in a new cult and will wear black dresses, ankle length, long, black, cotton stocking, low heeled shoes, and most of all, no cosmetics. Phil Alexander is the boy who never worked unless he had to. Prediction number eight. In the future, Phil will have to work whether he wants to or not.- He now has three others to support besides himself. His money is de- creasing rapidly due to an epidemic of different maladies.
