Hot dog, we get out of another half day of school. S. S. S. and F. F. A. held a watch party at the school. A very small amount turned out to watch however, so they all had plenty to eat. One poor boy ate 12 hamburgers. JANUARY School was held today but due to those 'Midnight Snacksn for something else more llkelyl few students got up in time for the bus. This time with Washington Center the host to Arcola, they again won 42-36, after the Aces led most of the game. This is five straight wins for the cats. Yippee. Another half day of school shot to he-e-e-ck. Busses left school at l:3O.e No power. Did you hear about the absent minded professor who poured the syrup down his back and then scratched his pancake? Why, a certain principal also forgot to go to a prlncipal's meeting he was in charge of. After a long and heated argument Kwhich we lost! South Whitley defeated us 45-43 in an overtime game. It was the Wildcats first game of the tourney. Jane Snyder acted hostess to Operetta cast at a party held at her home. The Wildcats journeyed to Jefferson Center and hung up another victory. The score being 50-29. Phil Alexander is down with the mumps. It was only a few days since Susie Linhart got over them! Come, come, Phil, d1dn't you know mnmp germs can be contracted through personal contact. Ice, ice and more ice. No school was held because of the ice. Still no school although a S. S. S. held a party at Lile He1ne's home. Seeking revenge on the Busco Eagles the Wildcats trampled them under 56-42. FEBRUARY At long last the battle of the giants is at hand. Washington Center versus South Whitley. Washington Center went down in defeat with a score of 41-33. Joe Wolf missing two teeth from an accident. Colleen Miesch held a Val- entine Party for all of the Sunshine girls. Wildcats journeyed to Jefferson Township of Huntington County. They re- turned victorious with a score amounting to 45-58. A. meeting held at school at 'neo in the evening. 19. A talk on Rabies was given in the gym by Doctor Goble and a play was given by the Freshman Safety Class. 21. The Wildcats journeyed to Coesse for their last regular season game. As a result of their 44-50 defeat they finished with a 12 win and 6 loss season. ' Q 26. A missionary from Japan gave a speech before the assembly. The Wabash by Sectional got under way at North Manchester. The Wildcats lost their Q 5 first game to Chester Township by a score of 55 to 55. 27. Sectional erin going em-eng. 28. Some lossed and some won at the Sectional. 5 MARCH Z 6. Class Tourney started at 7:00 in the evening. The seniors emerged the F3 victors. 7. Mr. Borden, Mr. Scholl, Mr. Snoke and eight boys attended the County 5 .. ...., n , n .F .Athletic Banquet at Coesse. if 10. 4-H members and their parents held a potluck supper and meeting at 6:50 pm gg ' 4 in the gymnasium. ll. F. F. A. held their annual Parent and Son Banquet at 7:00 this evening. - B B 11:50 saw some awful tired Sunshine girls. mg 12. The local Farm Bureau held their monthly meeting in the gym tonight. 15. Believe it or not, Jack and Johnnie stayed and did some work on the Annual for the first time! Anybody wanting a free trip to Holland 4 1 see Mr. Garland Borden! Just saw the first fly of the season. ' 14. Miss Staples was flabergasted when the salesman for Bookkeeping called at her door. She said I'll see you Monday night.
