Snow Week Snow - Icc • 20 below Windchill. How do you feel? L o you need a break? Sixteen hundred students at WHS took a break with annual Snow Week festivities the week of January 16. We began Monday with an exciting pepfest which introduced winter sports, let the Millcrmcn strut their stuff, and finally, crowned the King and Queen. This year David Wright was voted the one with the best legs, Sharon Berry with the best guern. Tuesday transported students to Ancient Athens as some of the more courageous people wore togas to school. Wednesday we got to sec how the other half lives by dressing in clothes of the opposite sex. The Powder Puff football games never got a chance to occur because of the brutal subzero temperatures and windchills. which led us to Friday. Friday we escaped it all and the Hawaiian climate invaded WHS for “I Wish I Were in Hawaii day. That night Shangoya brought a little bit of Jamaica to Washburn with the band’s reggae beat. What a perfect way to end the week and keep the warm mood lingering in our minds for the few cool months that lie ahead.
