Homecoming this year was really a vivid experience. The football game, originally planned at Washburn was un-expectingly shifted to be played under the lights at Parade Stadium. Through the prolonged efforts of the Student Council, Mr. Johnson, and Dr. DeLapp, the game finally was moved back to be played here at Washburn. Playing in front of a highly enthusiastic crowd, the football team weighed down South” with a 34-7 rout. The half-time show presented floats that were built by the Grist, Choraliers, Cheerleaders, Millermates, Senior Women, and Student Council. After the pepfest, King Bob and Queen Karin were crowned in a tense, but festive, ceremony in the auditorium. Later in the evening, Dancer performed at the Homecoming dance. A perfect way to end Homecoming ’76. WEIGH DOWN SOUTH V JI
