His side-splitting humor has prevailed in Washburn classrooms for years. The American history and boys’ health classes have become places of congeniality and reminiscent conversations as well as learning. His ability as coach has been well established by the superb performance of our basketball team. But, perhaps most important, this teacher, with his understanding nature, has been able to break the ubiquitous teacher-student barrier and bring about a friend-to-friend relationship. And so.it is with much pleasure that we. the graduating class and yearbook staff of 1971 dedicate this annual to one of the most beloved and enjoyed teachers of Washburn MR.
