2 washburn is a place, .. our school, 49th and wentworth, where sophomores, juniors, seniors, individuals have composed all of the poems and quotations used in this the 1970 wahian. 4 quiet! class is in session, a slamming door an emphatic voice a lone footstep echo along the halls. a bell rings severing the silence, surging from their captive classrooms, stampeding through the maze, screaming, laughing, charging, crashing, 2000 pairs of feet in motion in a hurry. time grows short halls grow empty, late-comers shift into top speed, hurdling up stairs flying down halls, a few sneak swiftly out praying not to be seen. a bell rings .. restoring the silence, quiet!
