Principal Carl W. Anderson commends student body for its versatility. Assistant Principal Russell L. Helleckson wishes seniors luck. 24 To the students: The end of each school year always brings out a variety of feelings and emotions. There are so many activities in a school the size of Washburn and such a wide range of subiects that no two students can really claim to have had the same experience. Despite the physical obstacles we have had to overcome, such as our over- crowded building, sub-standard classrooms, and split schedule, our students still continue to set the academic pace for the other schools in our area. We are very proud of the accom- plishments of this senior class. Once again when the list of Merit winners was announced, Washburn had more winners than any other school in the Twin Cities area. These accomplishments are a tribute to the kind of student body we have in this school, as well as a tribute to its able and dedicated faculty. I am sure that these accomplishments are also an indication of the kind of support we receive from your interested and cooperative parents. We are very proud of all of you who have contributed in so many ways to our successful school year. The real test of what we have accomplished lies ahead. We hope that you will continue in your search for knowledge and wisdom, whether in college or not, and that you will find life intellectually stimulating. We hope that all of you students will feel that we have been able to prepare you for the challenge of the future. We wish you the best of luck. Carl W. Anderson Administration Anticipates Expansion
