ENLIGHTENING 6 Mr. Carl W. Anderson, principal Washburn’s principal, Mr. Carl Anderson, is one of the outstanding school administrators in the state of Minnesota. He has been principal at Washburn for four years. Hiring new teachers, promoting good teacher-student relations, and assigning classes to the faculty arc a few of his many duties. Mr. Anderson has gained recognition outside of school by being elected president of the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals. He also served as vice-president of this organization for two years. We at Washburn arc privileged and proud to have Mr. Anderson as our principal. Our country has been blessed with many of the necessary ingredients for greatness. We all (now that nature has given us a bountiful heritage of soil, streams, forests, and minerals. The most important ingredient for greatness, however, is not these resources, but the human resources and the extent of their development. Those of us who are engaged in secondary education (now how important it is that each student be developed according to his abilities to the limit of his capacity. This is an ideal which is not always realised but which we must always strive for. It ts our hope that you seniors will not feel that your education has terminated, but that it has only begun. In a sense, it is what you do from now on, and not what you have already accomplished, which will determine how successful our efforts have been. Good !uc ( to all of you. Li) (X JuU Mr Carl W.
