Clark, R. Jardine This year. as always. the Student Council can he called the most active organization at W. H. S. lVe have taken action on numerous sulmjects. have had some good, constructive projects and in the process ol these 2lCL'0lll1JllSl'llllGl1lS had various fast inoving delmates. Tivo projects lor this year were a campaign against the de- struction of school property and the making of a permanent notebook of action taken hy the council during this year and past years. Also we have drawn up' a constitution for this rec- ord. The two largest fund-raisersn of the high school, the candy counter and the coke sales, are operated by the student council. The profits are used as seen tit by the student council where they will do the most good. Thanks inust be expressed to lioln Irving, Jay Clark, Myrna Lewin and Virginia Russell for the efficient operation of these sales. As a class you should be proud of your achievements. liy having ten of your mem- bers graduate with honors sets a lasting example for our future classes. You will be missed seholastically, as well as from the many activities which have been bolstered by your participa- tion. However, now your lifels Work really begins. Whatever your future may bring. remember that being a good citizen is basic to all careers. Continue the fine sportsmanship you have shown while at 'Washburn High School. Also realize that in the final analysis it isn't the money you've earned, the things you've bought that count, it's the Way you lived.
