NATIONALS — FBLA Michelle Conover, a member of Washburn High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), participated in National Competition at Houston, Texas, representing the State of Wisconsin in the office procedures business category. Michelle placed 2nd in Region I Competition, Superior, and 1st in State Competition. Green Bay, Wisconsin, before traveling on to Nationals. There were over 5,000 members competing at Regional State level. Michelle placed 11 th in National Competition, July 1-4, against 1st place winners from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and U.S. Military schools from abroad. FBLA nationally has over 100,000 members. FBLA Accompanying Michelle to Nationals was Sherri Scholl — Parliamentary Procedures President, Sara Bachand — Local Chapter President. Mr. Bill Eskola — Chaperon, and Mrs. Paula Eskola — FBLA Advisor. We, the 1985 yearbook staff, dedicate this year's annual to the memory of Mr. Darrel Olson, who passed away in the fall of 1984. Bromley in Vermont as a representative for the state of Wisconsin. Brian competed in State Competition at Wausau in the Giant Slalom and Slalom. He placed 4th overall out of a field of 13 5 participants. This earned Brian a berth in National Competition. Brian placed 17th in Slalom and 24 in Giant Slalom over .1 days of training and competition from March 5- 7 against 93 participants from across the country. Bob Sharp was Brian's ski coach. NATIONALS — FBLA Michelle Conover, a member of Washburn High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), participated in National Competition at Houston, Texas, representing the State of Wisconsin in the office procedures business category. Michelle placed 2nd in Region I Competition. Superior, and 1st in State Competition, Green Bay. Wisconsin, before traveling on to Nationals. There were over 5,000 members competing at Regional State level. Michelle placed I Ith in National Competition, July 1-4, against 1st place winners from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and U.S. Military schools from abroad. FBLA nationally has over 100,000 members. FBLA Accompanying Michelle to Nationals was Sherri Scholl— Parliamentary Procedures President, Sara Bachand — Local Chapter President. Air.
