It is my hope and expectation that your record of accomplishment and success started here at Washburn High School will continue on into the adult world to which you now turn. It is true, how- ever, that your success will not just continue.” Each one of you will need to make your own suc- cess. The community and the school have prepared you with the necessary raw materials. It will now be up to you to use all of the perseverance, am- bition and intellectual capability that you possess, so that when opportunities arise, as they certainly will, you will be able to seize the opportunity, as your class motto suggests.
