The peace council had never seen nobler squaws and braves. The new tribe was welcomed the first day at the Pow-Wow by Chief- Medicine-Man Wellman, and became official members after the proper tribal ceremony performed by the senior chiefs. Our entire band was painted with war point and submerged in the sacred waters of the canal! After these ceremonies the tribe was given the official name of papooses and allowed to select our chief. . . Papoose Roy Eckerdt. Miss Beyda, Mr. McDonald, and Mr. Ralston served as our peace councelors for many moons With our colossal float we helped our braves win the pigskin victory over Evanston. To the call of the wind, and the sweet smell of the flowers, we disbanded for the summer. Just as quick as we began enjoying our picnics and fishing trips, smoke signals were sent out that school had begun again. From all parts of the country, our tribe returned to the Nation with the rank of sophomores. We chose as our leader in 52 , Brave Buddy Crosby and Jerry Smothermon. As usual the spring weather makes a young brave's fancy turn to-- HOOKY! On returning, however, they were met by Chief-Medicine -Man Wellman, who by extracting a written copy of the Declaration of Indepen- dence from all the victims, drove away the evil spirits which had brought this about. That was the year that our tribe continued the custom of setting aside a week during which the squaws escorted the braves. They called this Tollo Week. The following year the tribe obtained the title of juniors, a position of power and esteem. Big Chief Geronimo Cook was chosen as our leader. In token of being members of W,C. H, S. tribe Indian Nation we selected our class rings. As a climax to our all ready shiny reputation, we held a feast en- titled, Moonlight and Roses in honor of the senior chiefs and afterwards a war-dance called My Blue Heaven , Much wampum was spent! It was a big event when our tribe stepped in to fill the place of the departed Senior who had journeyed to their Happy Hunting grounds. Again Big Chief Geronimo Cook was unanimously chosen to lead our tribe. This was a year of great activity: The honor of complying the annual and paper was given to our worthy tribe. You Can't Take It With You, the senior play, was a heap big success, wlin presenteddi February, In April the members of our tribe were treated to a banquet and a war-dance by the warrior juniors. Sneak day a very happy occasion because the chief seniors overjoyed took a vacation, leaving the rest of the school still struggling with their studies. After we had taken advantage of all the many opportunities offered by the W,C,H, S, Nation, our tribe now folds up their wigwams and moves on to the Happy Hunting Grounds. 29 Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Bill- Pat- Jackie Pat- Bill - Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie CLASS PROPHECY OF I955 Hi Pat! I haven't seen you in a long time. Well, I haven't been around, I've been traveling for the past ten years. My goodness, here comes Bill. Hi, this is a pleasant surprise. Let's go to the Blue Flamingo and get something to eat. We'd love to. It doesn't seem possible that it's been 15 years since we graduated. Why there's Colleen Harkins really going to town singing Blues in the Night. Just look at all those men swoon! Have you kept in touch with many of the kids that were in our class ? Why yes, you remember Alice Porter, don't you? Well she owns the Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me lipstick manufacturing company and James Hillberry is the chief lipstick taster and judge. I was listening to the radio the other day and heard To be or not to be. I just knew it was Tom Howard. The critics simply raved when he played the lead in Hamlet. He must have raised that ham on the farm. When I was in Norway, I saw the Olympics. I was flabbergasted to see Helen Carlson representing the United States as the Pogo Stick Champion. As I was getting off the boat, I saw Alfred Griffin. He is taking Goose Tatum's place on the Globe Trotters. Wait till you hear what I saw. As I was driving in the country, I saw someone picking flowers in his petunia patch. I just about ran into a telephone pole when I saw it was Howard Cook! He always was a petunia smeller! While on the boat I saw a good old Wyoming T, V, program. Oh, you meanWillie Weber's Wild West Show. I saw it, too. When Laurie Weber came bucking out of Shoot No. 9, I could see why he's call the Broomstick Buckaroo! I about flipped when Myrna Sisco came out on a galloping horse doing the Charleston in the saddle. There were thousands of people there. Donnie Schaff made millions with his Horse and Buggy Taxi Service. Hold on to your hats. Donna Palmer just moved into our neighbor- hood, the poor dear. She is always scrubbing floors and her kids just muddy them up again. She always was the typical housewife. When I visited Washington, I saw the distinguished-looking president, John Edison Wyman. Did you know he has just added a new balcony onto the White House ? I also saw Artie Adams, the Governor from New York. As we went touring the grounds we saw a janitress, either washing windows or filling water balloons, You can imagine my surprise when I saw that it was Sheila Fredricksl On T. V. the other night, I saw' Sonya Read playing a new 35 foot piano. Her music is simply out of this world! And did you know that James Fare has been pirouetting in Pavlova's Dancing School for Prima Donnas ? His toenails no longer scratch the floor. Jimmy Toler is now the President of the Stretchy-Wetchy Girdle Company. His best model, Joan Watson, has been modeling his 30 Pat- Bill - Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Jackie Bill- Pat- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- famous girdle, the Sub-Atomic, 5-way stretch. When I was in Paris, Iwent to David Laird's Salon. His slogan is Be Beautiful with Mud Facials by Laird. He really can throw the mud. Irma Hanneman, the teacher from America, won an al1-expense- paid trip to Europe. She uses the very latest, an eight-inch, diamond- studded cigar holder, All her clothes are from How'ard's Originals. Gordon specializes in matching pink, lavender, and chartreuse suits for men and women. Dorthea Decker has a Hot Tamale Stand in Gay Mexico by the Kill them or Die Arena. She almost ,got arrested for shooting at the bulls with a slingshot. As I went into the arena, I saw Mary Lou McKamey, the famous matodor, fighting a ferocious bull. When the fights are over, Ronald Bihr ejects the bulls from the arena. He can throw the bull further than anyone in Mexico. On one of my trips back to America, I saw a huge blimp piloted by Gene Mercado. He was advertising Nami Numoto's broadway show- house. I took in her show when I was in St. Louis. I was just in time to see Meta Wilson's fan dance! Also on the program was the famous trapeze artist, Anita Roberts. She can turn a triple somersault in mid-air without bending her knees. Well, the other day I saw the famous Hollywood pair, Tony Curtis and Sally Schlothauer, they made a striking couple pushing a fruit cart down Hollywood and Vine. You remember Dian Forbes ? She has a Hospital for Pets in Meeteese She is doing real well with her striped salamanders, albino skunks, and pink hoot-in-nannies . And what about you Jackie Wolf? Are you a famous stunt girl? I hear that you jumped 300 feet into a barral of Charles Paris' product, pink champaigne. Oh by the way, I got myself a pair of Mary Jean Harvard's plastic pastel shoes the other day. They're just the rage in Gebo now. I read in the paper where Jackee Stalcup, the big game huntress just bagged her 33rd. elephant in the deepest Africa. In a near by native village Jerry Schyrack teaches cannibals how to play football, while his boss lady cooks the stew. You know' Clara Elders ? She runs the Smile Pretty and Watch the Birdie Photo Shop , She really takes in the business. Diane Harris, who married Bill Grapefruit, had her picture taken with their ten little squirts. I had the pleasure of meeting that handsome Jim Vannoy, who was recently voted Mr. America. He was being interviewed by Bill Cheney, the announcer at Station A, H, C, What does A, H,C, mean? Don't you know? Always hear Cheney. I was at the hospital founded by Harold Light, the multi-millionaire. I saw Susan Hoy and her head nurse Leroy Abbott after they had just disposed of another patient. Well, thats the long and short of that story! I was shocked to hear about Shirley Huffman of the secret police fracturing her big toe while she was chasing the notorious bandit, Black Jack-Kelly Cotter. I always thought she would join the North West Mounties. She was 31 Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill - Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- always after the men. One of my neighbors, Stanley Packer, just perfected an atomic shot- gun to protect his uranium claims. Can you guess what is first on the hit-parade now ? LeRay Coggins' Little Girl Fur-r-r Away. Curtis Hunt recorded it and has sold over one -hundred million recordings. Yes, and on the other side he sings My Dog has Flees. Do you know' that Larry Coppock is still single after all these years ? He's working at John Anderson's Lonely Hearts Agency , On my way to my summer home in Hawaii, my stewardess was none other than Peggy Brazelton. I went via Bob Fritzlers Fly While You Can Airlines . Jerry Smothermon has reached his goal. He now owns all the oil wells in Texas. Even though they are now dry, he keeps his chief toolpusher, Ronald Miliken, busy counting the empty barrels. One of June Tanaka's best customers is Howard White, the well- known scientist. When he isn't working he likes to hobo around the country and eat June's blueberry pies. Her bakery goods are the most! Since the revival of broadway show' business, Franklin Ribble and Judy Miller are really hitting the high spots with their soft shoe dance. Oh, I saw' one of their acts in the Metropolitan Hall in New' York, which is now' owned and operated by Carl Hergert, the former sheep herder. Leon Hall just patented his Original Paint Jobs for Cars . You remember his first don't you? Clarice Hefeneider, the senator from Wyoming, just won the pro- posed bill on Should we sell toothpicks without a 1070 tax? I talked to the archeologists, Ann Johnson and Delores Paxton, the other day. Their latest finding was the bones of an African Road Runner in Iowa. He sure traveled didn't he ? Joe Heagney is taking up whe re Einstein left off and is now' working on the I Bomb, He blew' out all the windows and half of the out- door plumbing in his huge laboratory. Lorna Barnett just built a baby sitting agency on top of the Pender- graft Penthouse, Barbara's building is a paradise for the families of Carol Fay Halberts and Gayle Tolman Shaw. Every day when I go to town to get a cigar, I see Leroy Clark, the Park Avenue streetcleaner leaning over his pushbroom. He always did want to be an airforce pilot. He is. He piles it here and piles it there. He's always looking at the Blue Skirt across the street. Oh, don't get me wrong it's the Wine Celler of Ronald Marshall. Ronald specializes in Fine Wines and Perfumed Snuff. Have you ever been over to Leroy Mink's Wrestling Arena? Well, last night Mary Ann Allred, known as the Hammerlock Kid , won her match hands down. When I was watching a basketball game at Southern Cal. , I saw Clifford McNutt, one of the cheerleaders flipping all over the floor. 32 Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill- Jackie Pat- Bill - Pat- Jackie Bill- Pat - All - He didn't have so much vim but he was really heavy on the vigor. -Bill Perry is a well-known model nowg he modles Prissy Pants , only for the elite. The Psycopathic Hospital in Utah is now headed by the famed Roy Eckerdt. He has been having trouble with his top nurse Connie St. Clair and her secretary, Jo Christy. It seems one of the patients has them convinced that they are the Bowery Boys. David Bertsch is always busy in his Mom's kitchen, trying to brew' up a gargle which will repel women. Pat Smith, is it true that you work in Leo's Sweet Shoppe while he watches your five little goodies ? I read where John Howard, the movie actor, was putting his foot- prints in the sidewalk in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre. He was so busy posing for pictures he got stuck. Robert Quintana's construction crew' blasted him out in a hurry. No damage done. David Hamilton is going to receive a gold watch for being, Out- standing Bookkeeper of the Year . Janet Fogleman will present it as she is the president of the Adding Machine Union , We went to the races last week and saw a real thriller. Alverna Miller won the Silver cup for her ride. What a Jockey. Oh, look who is at the table! Who ? Hean Harris. He just divorced his seventh wife yesterday. He charged her on the grounds of'cruelty. What a black eye! He never was a one-girl man. Well, kids, I really must run. It's been wonderful talking to you. It's been almost like a Class Reunion. Sure am glad I ran into you. I've an appointment. Maybe w'e'll see each other again some time.
