This 1965 Wasconian depicts the history of the past school year within the theme Panorama of California. Our theme was chosen to enhance the beauty of the book. The pages that divide each section represent scgnic spots in our state. Although the division pages are the most obvious examples of Panorama, we have tried to make our theme evident on each page throughout the book. My special thanks go to: Mr. Appel, for careful supervision. Mr. Clement, -for silk screening the end sheets. Brenda Schroeder, for designing the end . sheets. Mr. Rexius, for a lot of hard work. The faculty, for putting up with me. All coaches, for their patience, The advertisers, for their support. Thanks again, BEV V 5,454 I ' 1 K I s f 121 fi 5 X X 'Z X -5 ' ' X . From the competing presentations the yellow chick, constructed by the freshman class, 5th period, captured first place. The reward for their efforts was that they were sole heirs to the abundance of candy within the pinata. Among the other activities was the livesaver and toothpick game. After refreshments were served, the party was ended. The student body invited-- A success in previous years, a dinner-dance which was open to everyone was again scheduled March 6. The Spanish-inspired decorations, a delicious buffet supper, and music by the Emeralds contribu- ted to a wonderful evening of pleasure and enjoy- ment. Beans and Sloppy Joes served-- The highlight of the Spanish Gym Party, March 19, was the appetizing food-beans and Sloppy Joes. Everyone consumed the refreshments with eagerness, for nothing could have tasted better after strenuous games of ping-pong, volleyball, basketball and, oh yes, the trampoline! Tijuana Palace-- From the first glance at the colorful peacock to the last glimpse of Shafter's exchange student, Mar- love Quadros, the Spanish Club Assembly, held March 24, proved to be the best one yet. The variety show consisted of commercials, skits, and musical rendi- tions. Spanish Banquet- The final gathering of the cIub's season, the Spanish Banquet proved to be a tremendous success.
