Anch Raider Week’ brought out an over- whelming amount of spirit and participation. Monday, ‘Hobo Day”, be- gan the week slowly because it was not well advertised. ‘Seasick Mariner Day” was well received as students dressed in the sloppy, mismatched Marine: style. “Twirp’’ and ‘‘Revenge”’ days resulted in antics as students devised comic deeds to be performed throughout the day. The week culminated with ‘Maroon and Gold Day” as students and staff wore the school colors. The Ferguson Mariner was given a mock funeral at the Pep Rally. Homecoming Spotlig Homecoming was held during the afternoon at Todd Stadium. The fes- tivities began with car decorations and an informal parade to the stadium. The band presented an out-standing half-time show with the current theme, Pac-Man. Helping the spirit in the stands was the Pep Club and on the field cheers were led by Warwick cheerleaders of both past and present. A colorful addition to the day were the mums sold by the Keyettes. It was a successful game against Lafayette accomplishing the first win of the sea- son. Homecoming Queen, Tracey Swan and King, Darryl Dickens were the A. Caught in a moment of jubilation is Coach Bill Lyons as Warwick finally scores a winning touchdown B. Hours of practice in drill and formation re- sult in precision during the half-time perfor- mance C. The women’s ROTC Honor Guard led by Catrina Watson presents the colors at the Homecoming pre-game show D. Spirited leaders of cheers in the stands are members of the Pep Club stars of the day. The ROTC Honor Guard was present and for the first time, clubs were represented by nomi- nated sweethearts. Parents of the foot- ball players were introduced and honored. The Homecoming Dance was a success. ‘‘DJ’’ Rascoe’s music and professional portrait sittings made it an even bigger event. Refreshments were provided by the SCA which in- cluded a special cake decorated with a king and queen. These were served by various members of the classes. Homecoming ‘82 was a total success for all.
