ZOOMI ..Jun Jun Sato of Japan is living with the Craig Hess family. Jun, who is here with the YFU program, was surprised at the large size of America. He likes that our school system is not so strict and a weekly attendance only consists of five days. In Japan the students attend school six days a week. Jun enjoys playing soccer on the Warwick soccer team and dur- ing clubs. He has the most trouble with people who speak too fast. He, however, has no problem enjoying American food, In a word I am very happy to meet the Warwick students. They are very kind and friendly. I want to have a memory of this year in my life. - Jun. CLOSE P OF . . . Mohammed Mohammed Baoueb is visiting America with the AFS program and is staying with the Kenneth Boak family. Mohammed, from Tunisia, likes America because friend- ship is most important to Americans. He also thinks America is a very beautiful country and Lititz is a healthy town. Hamburgers, beef hot dogs, and cookies are among some of his favorite American foods. Mohammed com- mented that in Tunisia one must be twenty years old to drive. Being 19, he is waiting patiently to be able to drive because the AFS program will not allow him to do so, although he is of proper age. Volleyball and track are just two of the many sports in which Mohammed participates. In America, the students are fortunate that they must only attend five days of school a week. Mohammed, who graduated from his old school last year, had to attend school six days a week. I want to say that being in Warwick High School is a great thing for students who are there for knowledge. I'm happy to be with American students, and I'm glad to meet everyday a new friend, staff, or pupil. - Mo- hammed . . Bjom Bjorn Telenius, visiting Warwick from Finland, is part of the YFU program. He is staying with the Ronald Calhoun family. Bjorn enjoys all American food but lists stromboli as his favorite. He likes that Warwick students are able to choose which classes they want to take. In Finland, the students' classes are all required. He, however, does not espe- cially enjoy study halls at Warwick. During his study halls in his hometown he is able to go home. Bjorn was ex- pecting America to be much bigger. When he arrived, he was surprised to find that it is similar to Finland, Bjorn is involved in the Warwick Soccer Team. I would like to thank Warwick stu- dents and teachers for being very friendly and helpful to me. l have learned a lot of different things at War- wick and I am glad that l was placed in this school district. It has been reward- ing and l'm sure the rest of my year will be as rewarding. - Bjorn CWC QM Auf' 'Wnapaw 'Y' 51? oa- it
