We now face with great antici- pation that which the future holds for us. Throughout this yearbook we hope to cap- ture and retain our fond memories of War- wick and to share with you some of those O very endearing moments. x wb x 5 Z' ff- QN0 'L ,: ,f-5 AA, -as-Af-4 XA J' N l -'sn-QIN' ff QNX ...... .2 A X '4 ll VV.: Nvw .. fix? f V V ' ' fgfsi' ,sfsvv . asdif' A Trlbute to A Teacher A teacher is a funny sort of being, Always hearing, always seeing. Hearing that whisper from the back, Sitting on the chair, but removing the tack. A teacher is Mom and Dad rolled into one, Intellectual, but he can be fun. ZS When we are six, parents' job may be done, - ' But bless the teacher, his is iust begun. A teacher is a pastor, always preaching XV About lazy boys and giddy girls screeching, His brain, a mass of profound ridges, Helps us cross educational bridges. A teacher is a iudge showing wrong from right, His heart may melt, but his mouth speaks might. .......... To us he seems mean and sometimes unfair, But an answer to his actions is always there. A teacher is a doctor, always an aid, He's well fed, but underpaid. For putting up with kids like us, 'X He ought to get a million plus! YQ A teacher is a laborer, working hard, A gardener, cleaning up the yard. 6 ' He has helped make us what we are, He is our light, our guiding star. A teacher's not iust a teacher to me, A teacher is faith, love, and liberty. Teachers are not iust givers of education, They are the hand and hearts of our nation. sm, mm X N 'iff Q CONTENTS 5752 Faculty and Administration Ku i XXX W .7 L. CLASS POEM by John Henry Doster On leaving Warwick High School We the Class of Fifty-Nine, Will always keep the memories of Its splendor grand and fine. The past few years we've spent here Were full of fun, and gay, And now we've finally reached our goal Our Graduation Day. This life short lived that passed so fast, The people we have met, The proms, the plays, and classroom life, Are things we'll n'er forget. As into God's big world we go Alone to face the test, We humbly seek his guiding hand That we may do our best. 48 x p 711 Y- J 5 l A Q- xi? Throughout the entire season, the co-captains, Ned Partridge and Dick Foltz, led the football team in spirit and also in scoring. The best, hardest played football game all season was the Ephrata game. Even though we were not victorious, we led for three quarters and with a few breaks the tide could have easily turned. There were only five seniors on the T958 football team, which, we feel indicates there is a great deal of excitement in store for the fans in the 1959 season. Good luck ot the coaches and players for a successful football season. VARSITY SCORES Warwick KAI ............ 6 Red Lion ...... ...... O 'lUNloR VARSHY SCORES Warwick KHD ............ The team had a rather difficult start because they lost their first two games, however, the fellows came back strong to win their final three games. This opportunity for boys to play ,football in junior high school, we feel certain, will prove beneficial to the varsity team in a very few years. The two league losses were at the hands of Lampeter-Strasburg, who went to the Lancaster County Championship undefeated only to lose to Columbia 46-45. The Warriors' over-all record was twelve wins and six losses. This year's squad was captained by Ned Partridge and was led in scoring by George Male with a 12.6 shooting average.
