Helen Davidson llas cilarge of the costumes in the Barnum ancl Bailey Cir- cus. Sire majors in time costumes of tile clowns. Causing a big clisturinance is Ronald Ditzler, tread clown at tile Barnum and Bailey Circus, now in tour over tlie United States. After slme comes liome from lier tour in Europe, Rosene Eckert will be starred in time current New York opera entitled Madam Spider. in tlwe presidents cliair of time famous Buick Corporation is Lowell Forney. He is designing a new car tllat will run witimout a motor. Doris Frey, Mary Jane Zell, and Lorraine Marxen will manage a seventeen acre old maicfs lmome in Rotllsville. Robert Garner ancl liis newly organized orciiestra have just been voted numloer one band of tile nation. Pauline Geliman is his singer and is applauded every place she sings. Eugene Habecker is top player of tlwe New York Yankees. He leads both National and American Leagues in time most ilome runs and tiits. Patsy Hellinger is private secretary to President Truman. She writes all liis speeclies and accompanies llim on all his trips. Those who didn't return at the heginning ol our junior year were Mary Alice Huber, Anna Mary Fry, and Richard Stiet. .loan Sheatter also left us for Florida. hut she came hack near the end of our junior term. Maxine Miller dropped out during the term. Nevin Carvell and Martha Lehman entered the class in our junior year. During our junior year we ordered our senior class rings. They have the school emblem on them with a red stone as the haclcground. We presented the play Papa Says Nou, directed hy Mrs. Hess. and it was a success. We held the Junior-Senior Reception at the Spanish Tavern in Quarryville with the senior class of 1949 as our guests. Mr. Bailey was our speaker. This prom was held on 1V1ay 7, 1949, and we shall always remember it. We held a junior Halloween Party for the high school in Kauftman's Garage at Rothsville. At last we reached our senior year of 1949-50 with Mrs. Grott as our home- room teacher in room twelve. We elected Paul Miller as president, Patsy Hellinger as vice president. 1N1ary Kreider as secretary, and Ethel Young as treasurer. Lucille Zoolc and Paul Metzler were student council memhers this year. Those who didnt return with our senior class were Nevin Carvell and Ar- 1Pll6 Weaver. Betty Buchter left us during our senior year. and then there were thirty-live ot us in the 1950 senior class to graduate. We held the senior doggie roast for the high school students and faculty memhers on Septemher 16, 1949, in Spangle-r's meadow. We ordered white class sweaters during the first halt ot our senior year. On Novemher 18, 1949, we presented the play Glamour Boy , directed hy Nlrs. Croft. and it too was a successful presentation. We held the 'Senior Holly Hop in the school gymnasium on December 17, 1949. We featured the Rhythmairs Orchestra from Columbia, and had a lovely Christmas Dance. Vve sold candy and refreshments at the home haslcethall games. For the first time during our high school years, this year our class, as sen- iors, won the Curtis Magazine Campaign. Our trip to Washington in May of 1950 was very much enjoyed hy every- one. Vvhen we returned we prepared lor Class Night and Commencement, which were held May 29 and May 31. The Last Ride , has won first prize in the National Art Association. Dick Jurell, now an unclertalcer. has his parlor at Hollywood and has all the movie stars' business. ln the Air Corps is Floycl Kauffman, who just invented a new jet plane that hrealcs all speed records. A famous swimming star that teaches youngsters to swim at Altantic City is Jeanne Kissinger. Carl Kreicler is heacl hutler at the home of Paul lvletzler, who is lxflayor ol Rothsville. He is proucl to announce that Rothsville now has a population ol l0,000. lVlary Kreicler and Dorothy Lanclis are having great success in operating an chain of orphanages in Florida. They are clrawing up plans to own all the or- phanages in the South. lxflartha Lehman, professor of mathematics, ancl Ethel Young, professor ol languages. are teaching in the biggest college in Germany. Emlin ancl Paul Miller are heacl coaches ot the Yale anil Princeton Col- leges respectively. June Risser is a famous air hostess of the Trans-Continental Airways ol America. At the heacl of the newly organizecl Etiquette School ot Ohio is Joan Sheaffer. She is planning to run for Governor of Ohio in the spring election. Faye Staufter has talcen over the Bell Telephone Company. She plans to buy out the Electric Power Er Light Company also. Evelyn Weik is a happily marriecl housewife. For a pastime she gives sing- ing lessons. Elaine and Lucille Zoolc are clress clesigners in the lce Follies. They also have a cluet as the main attraction.
