(Etje tlglyr Buckling ay hanges are happening all of the time. As we grow and learn from the world around us, we change. The ugly ducking was despised for being different, no one expected him to be anything from what he was. As the ugly ducking grew and matured, he became the beautiful swan, admired by all. The ugly duckling, even though rejected, set goals for himself and met them. People failed to see the inner beauty of the ugly duckling, and didn t give him time to reach his full potential in life before they judged him. Time changes everything. This year the campus has seen a great deal of change. Old Main was renovated, the cafeteria was redesigned, and sidewalks were added to the campus. These are all material changes. What isn ' t always noticed are the personal changes that occur to all of us. Being at Wartburg provides us with a place to grow and change. We change how we look at our goals, our friends, and ourselves. As the ugly duckling turned into a graceful swan, we change from scared and unsure freshmen, to seniors, proud, and ready to face whatever life delivers to us. SOPHOMORE ANN LOGAN enjoys the warm September weather while walking to class. CAMPUS WORK STUDIES and new experiences provide challenges to many students. Junior Bob Brockney learns to balance work and studies, yet smiling all the way through.
