Glass CProp ieca 1961 My, how the years have flown until it is the ninth of June nineteen-hundred and ninety-one, a very special date to me as well as fifteen oth¬ er members of the graduating class of 1961. This • was the day that we all walked down the aisle to receive our diplomas. Receiving these was a milestone in our lives. A lot of things wandered through my mind that night such as: How long would the speeches last? Gee, if we only could have had an air-conditioning tonight! - and most of all - What is going to happen to us in the future? I am now living on the glorious Island of Tahiti in my dream home which was built by Adam T. Gillis and partner, Maynard G. Crabs. You are perhaps wondering why I left Warsaw, U.S.A. Well, the trip down here I won for be¬ ing the sixty-two thousandth graduate of W.H.S. Hard to believe, isn’t it? Wanting to remem¬ ber those days and my fellow classmates, I bounce into my den on my pogo stick and take down the scrapbook that I have saved through the years filled with pictures, momentos, and newspaper articles concerning our class. Along my way out to the terrace overlooking the beautiful blue ocean, I press a button and re¬ ceive with gusto a big frosty glass of nice cool, delicious punch that reminds me of the kind that we had at our school dances. Atomic ener¬ gy is the ruler of my home; this was installed by a former member of the junior class, who used it as his science project. Well, now since I have explained everything, I shall continue. Having everything as comfortable as possible, I open the scrapbook and start to leaf through its pages. Gee, I have often thought how good it would be to see them all once again, but there hasn ' t been a button invented for that yet. They are so widely scattered too. Now take for instance Ed¬ ward Thrift, better known as Junior. He is a multimillionaire Yellow Cab driver in Alaska. Alaska, as we know it, is known for being the Land of the Midnight Sun ; for this reason Ed¬ ward told me on his last trip down here that he had to have a Yellow Cab to keep the Alas¬ kans happy. You should hear him tell you about the Nomad Eskimo, who tried to move his igloo in his cab. Here ' s a photo of Keron France taken at our May Day celebration when Keron was Queen. I read in the BROADWAY GAZETTE that she now 13 Continued on has her own modeling agency on the twelfth floor of the Empire State Building. Guess that she must enjoy that sky-blue living that it has to offer. Keron has trained such models as Cyn¬ thia Metrecal, Betsy Ayds, and Helen RDX. She is quite lucky in another respect, too, for two of her classmates formerly known as the Packett twins, Constance and Sandra, have their own exclusive beauty salon just two blocks away on Madison Avenue. They have created their own original hair styles, so I gather. I believe one is called Shakespearean Fluff, created in first period English; and then one called Book¬ keeping Specialty, which is an A plus L equals P swirl, and is considered a must for all Wall Street workers. The motto of this successful trio is Experience counts; take advantage of every class you have. ” Well, here ' s an article about Will Sanders, who has been quite remarkable considering how young he is. Will used to play in that TV series called Have Gun in Holster; Get It Out with Bang, until one day . . . well, it ' s one of those long short stories. Now, Will, or William V., is mayor of the city of Warsaw. He always said he would straighten anything out for a large sum of money. In fact, it says that he is one of the bus¬ iest mayors Warsaw has had in a long time. He maintains a shooting preserve, pool hall, and the local drag strip for the kitty-car races. Look at this headline; Dave O ' Dell has been appointed as a special assistant to the Mayor to investigate alleged ' fix ' in the Kindergarten Tiddely Winks tourney. Dave always had an eye for business, not private though. Being a well-known author, he has written such books as I LED 5 LIVES; RISE AND FALL OF THE HUMAN BRAIN; and his latest is a complete blank; per¬ haps the title will explain that, WHO ROGUED MY PEN? These are all on the best seller list for children. Nancy Allin, famous fashion designer, has found her Tall Paul and lives only fifty yards from Parie, fashion capitol of the world. This fashion article from La Vogue magazine says that Miss Nancy, creator and designer of the Bell-bottom Persian Giraffe Choker, has just created a new dress called the Stencil Remov¬ er with sophisticated flaring skirts; that is a must for every newspaper woman. In her spare time she knits little suits for her eighteen Per- page 77
