CLASS PROPHECY An interesting and exciting decade lias passed since that memorable night of June 7, 1957 when we received our diplomas and went our separate ways. The time has arrived for the first reunion of the Seniors of ’57 since they bade farewell and went seeking fame and fortune. Entering the spacious ballroom of Warsaw High School, I am greeted by none other than Congressman J. Robert Balderson-Bobby to his friends - head of the U.S. Treasury Department whose genius in governmental affairs was obtained in Mr. Hall ' s Government Class. Congressman Balderson states that he has reduced the $284 million debt of 1957 to a mere million and a half during his term of office. As we are being seated for the banquet, I notice on my left the famed Hollywood Gossip Columnist, Miss Anne Balderson, escorted by her now most frequent date and long time admirer, Mr. Donald Pierce. Anne enthusiastically informs us that after 7 years separation they met again when she published a column on his latest award as Inter¬ national Forest Keeper. Donald got his experience on the F.F.A. Forestry Judging Team. I am reminded that this lavish banquet is served with the compliments of Madame Doris Packett, founder and owner of the earth-wide Packett Hash Houses. I recently read that Doris has just returned from her Caribbean cruise and reports that she was able to relax for the first time in her life. Looking around the room I see another of my classmates who has done much as a result of his tireless study in Mrs. Pauline Delano ' s English Department. This is none other than Professor Wilmot Bryant now head of the English De¬ partment Harvard University. Suddenly a great commotion is heard at the entrance. Following a blinding array of light from photographers ' and reporters ' cameras we are pleasantly surprised to see that the late arrivals are our Donald Duck cartoonist of high school days, Donald Bowen and his glamorous model Miss Roxanne, ALIAS Phyllis Franklin. When asked the secret of his success Donald replied that changing from cartoons to cheesecake did the trick. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wilkins seem very happy with their eight children - Leslie following in the steps of his father has recently become owner of Wilkins ' Pulp and Paper Company. Mrs. Wilkins, former Miss Gloria Garnett, says it cost them a week ' s salary to attend this reunion for the cost of brave baby sitters keeps a goin ' up. Margie Pitts now Colonel of the Woman ' s Division of the Army has just returned from Australia where she trained a nurse ' s corps for the U.S. Army. It seems that the world ' s largest stock and new car owners, Mr. Mrs. Robert Lee Taylor, have just returned for the million Dollar Stock Car race on Mars. Mrs. Taylor, the former Brenda Withers known as the Brat to her friends, says that their cars placed first in the race and they will contribute the money to Rev. Bladen Scott for his new church in Washington. Rev. Scott and his efficient secretary, Miss Verna Lee Jenkins, have done much for our planet. Verna Lee tells us quote, I never dreamed that the same Bladen I went to school with would someday be a world reknown minister nor I his secretary. Kenneth France and his wife, the former Miss Ann Hall, are now living in Texas. Kenny who own ' s 3 4 of the state of Texas has just built the largest and most modern ranch house known today. Everything for Ann and it is done by atomic energy. Charles O. Shriner or Chuck Manager for the New York Yankees and his fourth wife, formerly Miss Margaret Inez Schools, returned from their honeymoon at Casablanca. Same old Chuck. His motto being Variety (girls) is the Spice of life. Alice King is owner of the famous King’s Yearbook Company. She got her knowledge of yearbooks and annuals while helping to publish the Ambassador. You may have noticed that one of our guests ' thoughts seems to be up in the clouds. It is just possible they are. Julian Garland spent a good portion of his hard earned chemistry knowledge, obtained from Betty Jean Davis in the good ole days of High School Chem Class, in establishing his own Weather Bureau in the big city of Haynesville. Betty Jean has completed her course as a Chemistry Major at the University of Lyells and is now teaching Chemistry at Porridge Pot University. After the banquet, we are invited to Virginia Brooks ' apartment. We are reminded as we enter Beale ' s apartment of old times as we hear Don Nicodemus and his Band, The Rhapsody Blues. Beale says that Mr. Nicodemus and the band always did appeal to her so she has hired him as her full time band. Beale is quite well known to the gentlemen about town - their song is You ' ve Got the Money and I ' ll Ta ke The Time, Oh what a couple we,d make. But Beale is still as choosy as ever. As the last strains of our Alma Mater are played, each of us again bids farewell to our classmates with the hope of meeting again at another reunion. As for myself I must return to my small cottage in Alaska, Igloo Mansion. So into my private plane and back to the serenity of the Air Force and snow of Alaska. 13 THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the members of the Senior Class of Warsaw High School, county of Richmond, state of Virginia, in the year of our Lord, Nineteen hundred fifty-seven, being sane of mind and sounc of body, do make and declare this our last will and testament. To the faculty, who has guided us so well, we leave our affections and best wishes for man years to come. DORIS PACKETT wills her quiet ways to Patsy Barrack. WILMOT BRYANT leaves his bus to Winston Rice in hopes that he will continue to take the bus to the garage during the first period instead of going to class. VERNA JENKINS leaves her job of taking up lunch money to Ruth France in hopes that Rul will make as much profit as she did. CHUCK SHRINER wills his spot on the basketball court and his eye for the feminine sex to Frankie Oliff and Bucky Fuller, with the assurance that they will make as many passes off the court as they do on it. PHYLLIS FRANKLIN says Mrs. Dishman won ' t let her take Franklin with her so she leaves him to Gloria Rose and Faye Davis with the understanding that she can have him whenever she is home. LESLIE WILKINS wills his first base position to Peyton Balderson and Albert Oliff. Les says he feels sure that they will guard the initial sack and continue to harass the umpires as he has BRENDA WITHERS leaves her hot rod races to Mary Elizabeth Wheeler, feeling sure she will win them all... DONALD PIERCE wills his sure aim with an eraser to Charles Beck and Jimmy Day. MARGIE PITTS leaves the Home Economics cottage to Becky Moore to look after and keep clean. BOBBY BALDERSON leaves his muscular build to L.W. Headley and William Saunders in hopes they will grow to be as big as he is. GLORIA GARNETT wills the lovers corner in the senior homeroom to Arlene France with the belief that it will help her to catch a man. BLADEN SCOTT wills his love for attending school events to Hudnall Sanders. ALICE KING wills the typing room to Christine Jenkins and Peggy Pitts with the satisfactio that they will look after the typewriters and Mr. Daiger. KENNETH FRANCE leaves his dignified and quiet ways to Charles Brooks but Ken says he i going to take Ann Hall with him. ANNE OLIVER leaves her newspaper editors ' s job to Laura Lewis and as a favor she wants Laura to keep an eye on Boyd for her. DONALD BOWEN wills his marching parties at the Army Reserve meeting to Rudolph Sanders and Rains Douglas. BETTY JEAN DAVIS leaves her tall slim figure to Jerry Tingle with the hope it will contim. to bring those familiar wolf whistles. JULIAN GARLAND wills his witty ways and lovely poems in English class to Billy Sanders and David Gallagher. VIRGINIA BROOKS leaves her seats in Geometry and Chemistry to Carole Sandy with best wishes for those many hard problems and tests. ANNE BALDERSON wills her spot as photographer on the Annual staff to Vanelia Oakley with the hopes that Vanelia will skip as many classes as she did. To the oncoming class we leave our class-room, teachers, friends and best wishes. 14 UNDERCLASSMEN fiidotyiO ttofiS JUNIORS President.Jerry Tingle Vice-President . .
