SENIOR CLASSES of 4 Warrior Run Area Schoo 'WaTSonTown, Pa. Turlaofville, 2 Foreword . . . It is with great pleasure that the class of 1957 of the Turbotville and Watson- town High Schools present the premiere performance of the Warrior Run Area Ioint High School annual. The seniors, under the leadership of well-known producers Chris Boughter and Larry Glass, have converted the Warrior into a play. The stage setting is school: the stars are classmates. And now the house lights dim, the footlights brighten. Curtain going up ............. .-1 2 .- XXX X X 1 Q5 f BEHIND THE X F oor Ll G HTS H V J I I 1 I- I, ,L f X . W . M ' gf . , -gills? N 4-, N Two words are used to describe the activities at the conclusion of the years in high school. One is gradua- tion and the other is commencement. Graduation has a finality about it which suggests that education is now complete. Commencement implies the beginning of something larger and better than anything which has gone before. I prefer to think of these activities as commencement activities. Regardless of whether or not the seniors are going on to some higher form of training, education is not complete. None of us ever is too old to learn. The train- ing which you have had over the past twelve years should simply have given you a foundation on which you could build for the future. I hope it has been a good one- We have high hopes for the future of the educational program in the Warrior Run Area. Every year u'e move forward and every year we are doing a better job for the boys and girls of this vicinity. My best wishes go with all of you. Sincerely yours, ORRIN G. Cocxs. Like an unobserved brownie, Sammy comes, accomplishes, and departs - leaving behind him polished floors, shining windows, shoveled walks, and heated rooms. Besides these more material things, he helps make the days more Cheerful with his friendly smile and keen interest. And so, to you, Mr. Samuel Fullmer. we dedicate our 1957 lfVarrio1'. ...,12.-1 In writing of George Washington, William E, VVoodward wrote, The turning points of lives are not the great moments. The real crises are often concealed in occurrences so trivial in appearance that they pass unobserved. How true that is! Many a recommendation based on incidents as simple as a thank you with a smile, a task completed on time, or an assignment neatly done has started people of renown on their upward climb. Likewise, an act of discourtesy can be an obstacle that blocks a recommendation at a crucial moment. Courtesy, sincerity, cleanliness, and promptness are a way of life. To adopt them is to pass one of the real crises referred to above. Your great moments will be yours because of an accumulation of these little things. My best wishes for the finest in everything go with you at graduation. Sincerely, IOSEPH H. WOLFE ...' ,.13.. Class Officers RONALD P. DeWALD Moose Politics is the art of human hap- piness. The acting was a bit rough, for we were just getting used to what was to be the performance of a great and successful play. Margaret Eberly, president: Chris Boughter, vice presidentz Mary Louise Haier, secretary: and Donna Iean Knopp, treasurer, managed the cast during this act. The third act was enlivened by bake sales, which kept us growing financially. two dances, Ship and Shore and Pumpkin Promenade, a party for the out-going seniors, and one play, whose title sums up the year in two words, lust Ducky. The managers this time were Sylvia Keister, president: Delmar Prowant, vice president: Mary Louise Hater, secretary: and Donna lean Knopp, treasurer. The final act got off to a start with a score when our dance, The Spook Hop , was held. Next in successful action was our play Have a Date , which made the halls ring with laughter. Near the end of the winter scene we held our last dance, Sadie Hawkins Dance. Our managers for the hectic final act were William Derr. president: Ken Small, vice presidentg Donna lean Knopp, secretary: and Beverly Kilgus, treasurer. -- Curtain -f .- 40 .- NAME lack Aunkst ludy Barrett Linda Benfer Chris Boughter Donald Bridge Herbert Bright loan Brown Nona Lou Burrows ludd Clemens Stuart Cocks Ma-io:-ie Dentler William Derr Ermin Digan Ned Doebler Nancy Felix William Ferguson Donna Fogelman Linda Foust Gayle Gauger Larry Hackenberg Mary Loui e Hafer Gerald Hall Oscar Hans Marlin Houtz Caroline Keiser Sylvia Keister lanet Kerlin Beverly Kilgus Donna lean Knopp Kay Kreischer Eugene Kurtz William Levan Dale Lose Kenneth Lynn Max Lynn Shirley Mabus Mary Elizabeth McCallum Wilbur McCarty Marie McCormick Barrie Mertz Anna Moll Dean Oakes Delmar Prowant Suzanne Ranck Donna Raup Donna Lee Sear Nancy Sechler Luella Shaman Kenneth Small Carl Snyder Ray Snyder Nancy Stahlneeker William Sterner lanet Strickler Myron Ulrich Nancy Wertman Follmer Westley Nancy Yost Emma Young Front and Center HITS Sports Eating Driving a car Gills, naturally Money Redheads Fancy clothes Playing the piano Gi.l3 and driving Sports Fo ds and Mercu, ies Dating girls All dogs, cats, and wild life Blondes Music Women Danc'ng Ed Boys Gisls Iohnny Women Food Eating Hillbilly music A certain fellow Boys A certain Lynn A certain lim Clothes Girls Cars Girls Foreign ports Women A sailor lce Cream Rabbits Traveling Cars Red curly hair and blue eyes Loud muffler Food and girls Roller skating Dancing Music Roller skating Long hair Mercuries and girls to go with them Girls Air Force Bowling Food and girls B.
