Superintendent Mr. Howard Egan taught school in North Dakota until coming to Ore¬ gon in 1954. He taught 2 years in Astoria at Central School, received his Masters degree from the Univer¬ sity of Oregon, and came to Warren- ton in 1956 as Principal of Warrenton Grade School. He has been the Direc¬ tor of the County Head Start Program for the past 2 years. He has six child¬ ren, the youngest attending a training school for nurses. His wife, Mrs. Evelyn Egan teaches at Clatsop Col¬ lege. This is his first year as Superin¬ tendent of Warrenton Public Schools. Members of School Board William Berg Stewart Cameron Arthur J. Charlton Keith Dyer Donald Shaw Robert L. Williamson Chairman Warrenton High School had an enrollment of 220 students for the 1967-68 school year. Twenty years ago the total enrollment was 123. In 1963 the school was en¬ larged. This included not only additional class rooms, library, band room, gym, and activity room, but a breeze¬ way through a lawn, now the Senior Lawn with a garden. Principal Mr. Paul Schiller attended Wash¬ ington State University and Graduated with a Master of Arts degree. He has been employed in many public schools throughout Oregon.
