Evidently, it was a long time before I regained con- sciousness, because during the time that elapsed before I awakened, I had a vision of the activities of my classmates in 1956, ten years after their graduation from Warrenton High School. Monte Koski and Dorothy Wildgrube have recently merged into busi- ness and are making a tidy sum operating the WYbu Stab 'Em, We Slab 'Emn Mortuary. I was in m fourth grade class teaching English as usual, and the principal, Dick Kelly, was pouring water on my head. It seems that one of my little angels had pulled the chair out from Ill 'l'0llY In the early part of September51952,fifty-three big, brave, fear- less freshmen stormed through the halls of W. H. S.-big as you please- so we thought. we were the first class that did not have to have a big initiation. We soon learned ,l'fhO'l!8h, that even this did not make us as big and special as we thought we were, for we did not even rate a dance that year. Instead, we had a swimming and skating party in May for the whole freshmen class and we all had a wonderful time. One big triumph was that a freshman girl, Virginia Magnuson, was elected Queen of Hearts. The Sophomore year was considerably better than our freshmen yearz we were awarded the first dance of the year and it was a big success. The Junior-Senior banquet and prom along with the class play was the highlight of our junior year. Our theme for the prom, NThree Coins in the Fountain,W was very realistic, even to the flowing fountain in the center of the floor. WBeyond Reasonu was the name of our success- ful class play, directed by Mrs. Shepherd. During the fall, we held the annual Homecoming Dance and our President had the' pleasure of crowning Ann Davis. Queen and Darryl Bergerson, King, Now--at last, we are the mighty seniors. Our Christmas Ball, 'A Christmas wonderland,' was a beautiful dance and it was enjoyed by everyone who atte ded. During the sp ing we presented our class play and took a field trip to Salem. We are now ready to step forth from dear old W. H. S. to the unprotected world of mature adult peophg which we have almost become. Our high school years have been well spent with much encouragement from the entire faculty and the Eugshove from our wonderful parents. under me. Ginger Moore . The band appeared for the first time in their new uni- forms at the Winter Band Concert, which was presented two nights. The uniforms are blue and gray, with gold trim. The Pep Band, working closely with the Pep Club and Pep- sters played very peppily at nearly all the home games, and several away games. A new addi ti on to the band this year was the 'Fife - Jug- and Bottlen Band which played novelty numbers on different occasions. Two other groups, a German Band and a Dance Band, are expected to be in full force next year. All in all, we think the band was really great this year. 41 , . ,f 1 ff ' P J . , rss? ,. . ,, .gy .- 3 ., - 4 'i .,-. YK 1 , 9 u V 4 K, If iii? w ov 0 im' f - 92 K PS 3 ' rw Wow!
