The business men who sponsor ouryear- book, who advertise in our paper, who en- courage our sports, who support our dram- atic and music ventures ------ these warm friends of our school we also wish to salute! To Ike, a symbol of an understanding and patient custodial staff: To our mayor, on'Chamber of Commerce president, our Parent Teacher Association president, symbols of the public spirited citizens of this community whom we truly appreciate: To these we respectfully and afkcmxr ately dedicate the 1955 WARRIOR. lHQiE teena fitsmi iff MR. The first person 1 recalled was my best friend, Roberta Olson. She and her husband had built themselves a beautiful 520,000 home in lndigo, California. HOWever, they discovered that Roberta was allergic to money, and they had to move to a less expensive house. Then 1 saw Bill wanker who owns the Ridge Road Speedway and is racing again for first place. The funny'dnng is that Bill was the only contestant. Nadine Shappee has become a popular T.V. singer at the 1O0F hall., Her theme song is the same, Baby, Baby, Baby. Next was Dick Maize, a wealthy bachelor who is ageing - fast, as he can't make up his mind which lucky girl will re- ceive his charms. Jean Black has the finest breed of horses in Chicago, and owns the White Stallion of Hollywood fame. 1t seems that George Barrows bought'dn new Safeway Sums and is the No. l butcher. He puts the frilly lace pants on the lamb chops. Delores Bradley has the finest trailer court you ever saw on the Ridge Road. Darryl Bergerson has a football team and makes them ex- ercise every day. They run five miles one way and imc miles back. Of course Darryl rides ROPSEUBCR. Jacque is living in Jewell, where she has been coaching the famous A1l'Gl?1 volley ball team. Henry Boyd is working as a spy for tnelknted States de- fense program. he was recommended because of his remarkably talented ears that can detect the slightest whisper within YYY!-165s Lorraine Yeager is on a trip around the world. Dick Ferrell, in his methodical way,kms become a second Sherlock Holmes and is very good at analyzing handwriting. ' Corkill has become a full fledged nurse and. is '1' bia Hospital. Yvonne Dunn has become a famous dress designer and her is dresses made of beads. Watch out girls if a B - io Product. speciality string breaks. B1 - ue C Rolla, Rink Class Yrophecy, continued. D N lson is the principal of the school in Gearhart on e and ls also the dance instructor there. Wayne Rickerson has settled happily in the island of Bahamas. It ls the lsle of Many Sweethearts. Wendell Peterson has started a miniature motorcycle club and is making lots of money and noise. Riley Tolbert has become a science teacher at Warrenton High and his latest assignment ls, How to get rid of splders . Gene Dupre has invented a pair of padded crutches for his personal use. And last but not least, our advisor, Mrs. Gibson, is th future! STILL telling students she is going to retire ln e From my hospital bed, I can recallalddenly being broughtl to consciousness by a sharp jab as Nurse Gorklll admlnlstere a hypo in her usual energetic manner. Beverly Beach www 'Way back in l95l, on September 6, to be exact, thirty- flve scared and curious freshmen walked through the doors of the Warrenton High School. They were anxious to find out h heard what high school was like and were dreading the muc of initiation. On a hot autumn day, the Chinook and Clatsop warriors and maidens, paid the highschool a visit. Their weapons were few, but their hardships and trials were many-- will anyone ever forget that day? No, never! Initiation was mi ated one df over--no casualties reported. Kay McKay was no n the Princesses for the Carnival. Mr. Stock and Mr. Moberg were the advisors. In '52 the energetic sophomores sponsored two dances. The 'Welcome Dance' for the new freshmen was a huge success. There was a class picnic that no one will ever forget. Mr. Garwood was the newly appointed advisor for the class. 1 r The junior year was most auspicious. The very mpo --- tant Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom took lots of time and planning, but lt was deemed a success. Jackie Buchanan fell t of the back of a truck while they were transporting ou davenports to the gym and spent her birthday and the Prom l ss la BOOKS AND CROOKS was night in the hospital. The c a p y one of the most hilarious ever put on and was financially a huge success. The Senior Year, that long-looked-for time had finally arrived. The Christmas Ball was one of the most elaborate ever given and will be long remembered for its unique beauty. The red and green punch was served from carved blocks of ice on a beautifully decorated table. The enterprising class sold shares on a portable radio and a pen and pencil set to defray expenses for the estomery trip to the State Capitol. Mrs. Bergerson received the radio, and Don Peterson received the Parker Pen and Email set, Ann Davis was elected Homecoming Queen and Darryl Ber- gerson was elected Homecoming King, by the studentbody. Baccalaureate, held May 29 and Graduation June l, took much tedious practicing but was worth every bit of the efnrh The ceremony being over, the manyfriends andrelatives greet- ed the graduates as young men and women, truly ready to take their place in the world.
