Every year, as far back as memory takes you, the Seniors have sneaked a Skip Day . It's almost be- come a tradition at ol' Warrenton High, with every senior class taking their best shot at it. But in the past, the Seniors have had a tough time pulling this off. Word would usually leak out about a week before the planned event and spoil the surprise. In most cases, once the word got out, everyone decided to stay in school instead of skip. The challenge was gone ! ! But this year, the Seniors of '79 proved that they really had their act together. They carefully construed a plan, set the date, and carried it off without the slightest hitch. It was a total surprise, not only shock- ing fellow students, but the faculty and administration as well. A lot goes into the planning and preparation for a Senior Skip Day. Many factors must be considered. For example, the day on which SSD takes place, location for the big gathering (preferably somewhere out of town), and last but not least, what type of refresh- ments '' are to be served. The last being utmost on everyone's mind! Most importantly is keeping SSD a secret. Everyone must be very closed mouthed. If you're lucky, every- thing goes off just as planned. At least it did this year. And what about years to come? Well, all we can say is, BEST OF LUCK! ! ! ...
