This scholarship is to be awarded annually to a se- nior who plans to continue his education in either an academic or vocational school. The re- cipient is selected by a com- mittee composed of 2 teachers, 2 townspeople, and the high school counselor. Of the total earnings from the supper, $200.00 was used for the 1974 scholarship and the rest of the money was used to start a sav- ings account. The Marching Warriors performed at all home football games plus marching in the Homecoming parade. The concert band was the larger and better than it has been for several years. Besides the annual Christmas Concert the band has performed at the second annual Festival of Arts, district contest at Mexico, and the Spring Concert. Sev- eral ensembles within the concert band went to district and state contest. The Yearbook Staff salutes all these talented individuals for their hard work. LEFT TO RIGHT: M. Tucker, A. Besides many performances in Warrenton, the Jazz Band traveled to East Central Junior College in Union to play a concert. The band competed in the Montgomery City Jazz Festival where it placed third and the Central Methodist College Jazz Festival where it placed second. In general, this was really an interesting and exciting year for the Warrenton Music Department. I can't seem to find it. Majorettes On November 10, the Warriors downed the Or- chard Farm Eagles with a score of 30-6, for their last home victory of the season. The War- riors put on a really good show and so did Marion Turner, PICTURED RIGHT twirling her fire ba- ton. Marion was a majorette in her four years of high school and served as captain her last three years. The Yearbook Staff The Yearbook Staff Salutes the ■ Seniors of ’74 « 74 GIVES YOG MORE In Memory of: Joe Huber Joe Never lonely but always alone, I walked my own path, letting it cross with all who would share a moment of life. Together we met and faced the challenges to be free. Smiles and tears abounded, and for a span of tim e we lived. It was brief, but it was mine. And while it lasted, I reached for what I saw, grasped what I wanted, loved what couldn't be. Ann Hunter 136
