Warrenton High School Warrenton, Missouri FOREWORD: Many things happen in a school year. Although traditions linger, changes occur. By bringing these changes and traditions together in a collection of pictures and facts, the Wahisho staff has attempted to preserve the memories ' of the 1965-1966 high school year. 2 . . . always working . . . . . . always early . . . To our helpful and understanding friend who has rendered every service pos- sible to uphold the spirit of Warrenton High School; to one who has worked without ceasing for the betterment of our school; to one who offers encour- agement and enthusiasm to all she meets, we, the Wahisho Staff, proudly dedicate the Wahisho of 1966 to our very own . . . The FFA Creed I believe in the future of farming, with a faith bom not of words but of deeds--achievements won by the present and past generations of farmers; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come up to us from the struggles of former years. I believe that to live and work on a good farm is pleasant as well as challenging; for I know the joys and discomforts of farm life and hold as inborn fondness for those associations which, even in hours of dis- couragement, I cannot deny. 1 believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others. I believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think clearly, with such knowledge and skill as I can secure, and in the ability of organized farmers to serve our own and the public interest in marketing the product of our toil. I believe we can safeguard those rights against practices and policies that are unfair. I believe in less dependence on begging and more power in bargaining; in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to help make it so--for others as well as myself; in less need for charity and more of it when needed; in being happy myself and playing square with those whose happiness depends upon me. I believe that rural America can and will hold true to the best traditions in our national life and that I can exert and influence in my home and community which will stand solid for my part in that inspiring task. 28 BASKETBALL Left to Right: Coach Dothage, Fred Vahle, Mike O'Sullivan, Steve Pauk, Ron Dyer, Dan Frissell, Terry Rapp, Charlie Polston, Randy Haymes, Fred Backs, Tom Anderson, Larry Theerman, Bob Ragar, John Gregory, Leland Johnson and Mike Shilharvey Managers, Coach Sissom.
