 .v Remember As the bell rings loudly in the halls. Upperclassmen trample as a freshman falls. Once again the principal tells of rules That help to preserve and spare our schools. Most classes we all just sleep through. Especially if the material is new. Teachers give facts and ask questions in a stream. Students give bad answers and daydream. Classes progress with nerves and stress As news of football and Homecoming fly off the press. Football games, whether won or lost. Are celebrated, remembered, and then embossed. Semesters bring anxiety to no one-- Teacher, parent, daughter, or son. Report cards are distributed that fateful day. In hopes that each subject will bring an A Basketball games were over in a flash, Track and baseball made a dash. Wrestling came down with a crash And the golfers gave the ball a smash. Senior bowl came in for the fight With cheers of Let’s see your bright light!' Then and Now made the scene With songs popular in everyone's teens. Senior Prom was next in sight. We danced and had great fun all night. Graduation came this year. With all the normal joy and tears. We remember all of these--yes. They bring back joy and happiness. Donna K.
