SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS — Standing: Linda Fry. Reporter; Helen Neumann. Treasurer. Seated: Floyd Faith. Vice-President; Jay Butt. President: Mr. Ligon, Sponsor; Pam Barclay. Secretary. Seniors of 1959 We, the Class of 1959, feel that we have contributed much to the success of the new school. We are proud to be the first class to complete our senior year in the new building. We have participated in every possible extracurricular activity and have had many talented people of the class contribute to athletics, music, and other activ- ities of the school. The major contribution of our class was the Senior Play, “Act Your Age,” which we know will be long remembered by the school. A tangible contribution of our class is the sidewalk from the school drive to the street. 4

“Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time;” We, the Cardinal Staff, have chosen the above verse from Long- fellow’s A Psalm of Life as the theme for our 1959 yearbook. Each student who passes through our school leaves his own set of footprints for posterity — some are firm with a good sense of direction, some are wavering, and a few have no direction at all. As you “stroll” through our 1959 Cardinal, we hope you will find pleasure and enjoyment in its pages.
