O ffrcers Patty Blakeman Secretary Bob ODell Reporter Bob Thatcher Presldent Scott Maxwell Treasurer Wlllnam Shelley Vrce presrdent Senlor Class Hlstory As the date of graduatron arrlves we the Senror Class look back on our four years as a class rn hxgh school and once more go over the hrghlnghts We started our freshman year wrth an enrollment of 59 As freshmen we were practncally lost but that was remedred by the help of upper classmen When our sophomore year rolled around we were ready and wantrng for we knew more about hrgh school lrfe and some other people were the green freshmen now The orderrng of class rrngs was the great event rn our sophomore year Then all at once we were upper classmen In our Junror year many excrtmg thmgs occurred The two most lmportant however were the Junior Play and the junror Prom both huge successes Now as semors we have ordered cards announcements and semor prctures The sennor trrp has been planned wrth the followrng teachers Mr Lngon Mr Knck Mr Schwalbe and Mrs Lngon chosen to be chaperones All that remams rs for that great day graduatron to arrxve' We regret that our class has decreased untxl now we only have 35 members graduating We had many honors whrle we were semors The Senror Play The Darhng Brats started our success by bemg a brg hrt Then rn the late fall the semors went to Lakevrew for a Career Day where occupanons colleges and the armed forces were all represented Next came the basketball season and the great Decatur game We the semors were proud to have Rnchard Hammel Norman White jrm Brnkley and Bob ODell on the team whlch won that game with a score of 62 60 Deanna Bourne was honored by berng chosen the D A R wrnner out of all the senror girls Later nn the year a group of semors went to Normal Untversrty to look around and see what college lrfe m Normal would be lrke In Chorus we had a number of gurls and a few boys who helped to wm a first place rn the drstrrct and the opportumty to try for a frrst rn the state frnals at Macomb In Band we were well represented and we were very pleased to have Arvrn Potter chosen as the trumpet solorst for the Band He dad a wonderful job and we are very proud of hmm Our class was well represented on the honor roll wrth three students Harrret Albrn Patrrcra Wrlber and Wrllnam Shelley having hugh honors The semors have learned much from therr classes rn hrgh school and extra acuvrtres Many are gorn to put that knowledge to work rmmedrately whrle others are gorng to college to gam even more learmng both from books and by experrence Good bys are sand and off go the semors the crtrzens of tomorrow Q Y - 2 1 1 n 1 1 a 1 1 ' o A 7 1 7 7 I ' 3 7 , . 3 7 ' I 9 ' 7 ' 3 . , . , .
