FRESHMEN CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1934, forty Freshmen entered the Warrensburg Community High School. All of us took part in the general work of the school, and we had representatives in the glee club, band and athletics. The following girls brought further prestige to the class by acting as cheer leaders: Ida Mae Franklin, Mary Tolson, Mary Culp, Barbara Gilman, and Betty Hepworth. At our first meeting we elected the following officers: President................Ida Mae Franklin Vice President........................Ben Disbrow Secretary...........................Billy Robbins Treasurer.........................Bernard Batchelder We selected black and white as our class colors, the Lilly of the Valley as the class flower, and our motto was “Horie, non eras”. Miss McBride acted as our advisor. -22-
