Dedication The yearbook staff of 1981 is proud and honored to dedicate this yearbook to an outstanding member of the teaching staff of W.S.C., Miss Florence LaPoint. Her achievements are many. She had been a 4th grade teacher for 14 years, and a dancing teacher for 13 years, a and for 5 years has swam through the tears, trials, and tribulations of being a cheerlead- ing advisor without the benefit of earmuffs. She brought “pride” back to cheerleading and spent many extra hours in “bring home the tropies.” Thanks to Miss LaPoint we have a beautiful outdoor socoreboard and a pitching machine. She had helped the Health Center, the Emergency Squad, and the Fire Company along with many other community efforts. Our entire community has at one time or another benefited from her generosity. Most of all she is a friend and a shining example of the goodness is out world. Lori- Memories of yesterday, dreams for tomor- row hopes of today makes life worth living for me. Tonya- For you — a butterfly. Tricia- (Trish) We enter the world of hardship and strive too late to find that high school was the life. Dorene- My idea of an agreeable person is one who agrees with me. Valerie- ‘‘Pee Wee loves K. G.” (Val) Ellie- (LE) The love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay, love isn’t love till you give it away. Pam- When time who steals our years away, shall steal our pleasures too, the memories of the past will stay, and our joys will be renewed. Rusty- Winners never quit, and quiters never win. Kathy- If you love someone, it doesn’t matter how far away they are. Terri- True friendship between man and man is infinite and immoral. Larry- “If everyone minded their own business, the world would go around a great deal faster than it does.” Dave- Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true. Wendy- (Ralpho) A friend is someone who comes in when the whole world has gone out. The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends upon the unreason- able man. George- (Billard) When I feel like working I lay down and rest until the feeling goes away. Tom- Each dawn is a new beginning. Cathy- If you do not understand my silence, you will not understand my words. David- When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Karla- If you love something, set it free, if it comes back to you it’s yours, if it doesn’t it never was. JoAnn- (Joey) To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved. Don- (Worm) If you take a chance you have a chance. Jim- Take me for what I am, not what you want me to be. Jim- But I’m not as think as you drunk I am. Darren- All are needed by each one nothing is fair or good alone. Mechelle- We are never given a wish with out the power to make it come true. Beth- And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you give.
