E ARE SENIORS graduating into a world at war; some of our classmates have already left us to join in that fight and we want to remember them in this book. Probably some of our soldiers or sailors will see a copy of The Hackensack, and we hope it will bring back some pleasant memories of Warrensburg. We hope, too, that we will leave a few pleas- ant memories to our faculty, to whom we owe so many thanks for their help. Then, in later years it will be we, who will have the pleasant memories when we look back on our two years in the beautiful new school. We will still thank Mr. Gifford and our Board of Education whose efforts were largely responsible for the many opportunities of which we tried to take advantage. So, as we go our many different ways, we will remember our high school days; and when, in later years, we read of the success of some respected person, we will recall them in our class of 1945, and feel deep pride. —Editor-in-Chief
