hampered by a sllppery ram soaked field Raytown led I 0 at halftlme The Trgers scored the1r touch acwn w1th less than a m1nute left took the Raytown k1CkOff on the War on a who good Ron Heatherly m1ssed the k1ck for the extra pofnt Raytowns fllllt-131 score came early 1n the flrst quarter The Tlg ers kfcked off and downed Raytown on the Bengal 49 Two first downs moved the ball to the 10 where halfback Parker went for 3 and Kroenke fullback went the rest of the way Cockran ran the converslon on a quarterback sneak The Bengals stopped a Raytown dr1ve on the Warrensburg 18 1n the game Pete Wertzel .rensburg 25 and handed off reverse to Joe DeBacker sklrted the s1de11ne behmd blockmg to score untouched of the1r own 1n the thxrd quarter but were unable to push the ball 1nto scormg pos1t1on Late 1n the last quarter Ray town returned a punt to the War lcnsburg 48 and drove to the 8 where Parker went :off tackle for the second Raytown counter and Cockran again converted on a sreak Then Raytown klcked off to set up the Warrensburg tally The Tlgers although on the short end of the final score shvow ed up well agaxnst the Raytown powerhouse The1r touchdown was the second to be scored agalnst Raytown th1s season and the 14 po1nts for Raytown represented the fewest po1nts scored by the team 1n any game th1s year There was a small boy named Lee Who came face to face wlth a chcked inom the open1ng kfckoff and soon earned the respect ot El Dorado Warrensburg took a bad klckoli and .retulneu It to the Bulldog 43 yard l1ne where Ron Heather ly skfrted lert end for 37 and aga1n for 30 and the touchdown John Weftzel went over on a quarterback sneak for the con version After an exchange of downs the Bengals quarter orove wlth four first dvowns to the El Dorado 10 where
